The Free Black Women’s Library is a socio-literary art project that centers and celebrates the creative and intellectual labor of Black women, Black femmes, and Black nonbinary writers. Our book collection features five thousand books written by Black women, as well as a monthly reading club and free public programming.
We have a literary hub and creative co-working space in Brooklyn, NY and we invite the community to visit and use the space to read, write, learn, create, dream and connect.
