Gray Spaces by Tamara Angela
Luck ran out.
Love was nowhere to be found.
There was a time when sunrise was like clockwork. A time when the rhythm of the Universe was as automatic as a heartbeat.
But that heartbeat stopped one day.
So did the sunrise.
And humanity had to settle for the In Between.
There are layers to this.
Layers between Here and There.
Travel beyond the veil ain't easy.
Neither is living between realms.
Infinity and Nothingness.
Present and Past.
Sometimes it's all just a gray and cloudy mess.|
Like fog, when the Heavens touch the very ground you walk on.
How can humanity start to breathe again?
Shock the arrhythmia back on track?
Centering.
Quietly.
Luck gave up a long time ago, and Good Fortune followed.
But Love.
Ah, but Love.
Love is lingering. If you look real hard over there.
No, right over there.
Can you see?
If not, don't worry about it.
Love prevails. Each and every time. No worries. We've seen Love pull through time and time again. Suturing wounds. Cauterizing the deeper ones. You gotta sit still though. It's going to hurt. Numb it if you want but know the healing pains won't be any better.
Only way out is through.
And I see you. You've been going through.
Enduring.
Dealing. None of it has been easy.
Last I checked, it wasn't anywhere in the fine print that it was ever supposed to be easy.
But you can read that contract your soul made all over again on your own time. You can revise it when you'd like as well. Especially after you learn those lessons. You know you don't have to keep learning them right? I mean, why keep retesting?
That In Between will have you in an endless loop. It's hard to see the beauty of things when your eyes and vision have adjusted to life in the gray areas.
Adapted to a life without sunrise.
Oh, the decisions one makes in the dark
Always feeling like you are never quite where you should be.
It's because you don't really understand the destination. Sometimes, right where you are is exactly where you should be.
There isn't always movement in the In Between, but seeds are planted and can incubate in the dark.
I'd rather be in the dark. It's somewhere. The gray is somewhere and nowhere all at once. And the light, well. We know the light. The brightness. The fullness. The knowledge. So many walk away. Aversions to the light.
Yet they all exist simultaneously.
The dark.
The light.
The gray.
Each has a purpose.
Just like you.
And you.
And you, too.
Some of us straddle the veil.
Some of us live strictly in the Here and Now.
Some of us have been well acquainted with Love and need to make introductions.
Some of us need to go out and encourage the sunrise.
So the only choice for humanity isn't existing in the In Between.
